The Allstate "Innovations" Quote demo changes the way customers purchase auto insurance online, providing a streamlined user experience to mimic the complex interaction between customer and insurance agent. To find the appropriate auto insurance package, the user answers a series of questions about their vehicle(s) and driver(s) and select policy and vehicle coverage all in a fluid, pageless environment. During the process, the user can choose to open or close the "Allstate Advisor," based on whether or not they want help with answering questions and choosing the right coverage.

I was sent to the Chicago office to help prepare for the pitch and in six days we designed and built a robust Flash demo that ultimately won us the work. At the request of senior management, I returned to Chicago for the three-month duration of the project. I designed the user flow, page layout and functionality, and presented my wireframes to the Allstate client. I also wrote the methodology proposal and test plan for 12 one-on-one usability tests.
