With TimesPoints, the rewards program for the New York Times, readers can earn points at restaurants and hotels to pay for their subscription or for New York Times merchandise. Gift cards from third-party merchants were recently added to the list of available rewards. The goal of this project was to allow users to redeem their points for gift cards using the existing merchandise purchase flow.

When I took over as the senior interaction designer on this project, the site architecture and page layouts had already been designed. I worked within those confines to create the gift cards user flow, as well as make significant changes to the global navigation.
